June

Four Spotted Chaser - Paul Beard
Four spotted Chaser - Paul Beard 2008

June is perhaps the best part of the year. Longer days, warmer weather means that we can enjoy the wildlife that surrounds us. This is the time of year that the larger species begin to emerge.

New for this year is our video section. We have sample footage showing many of the species you will see in Derbyshire. Click here to go straight there. Please email us and let us know what you think. For example, should we expand it? Cover other species of plant and animal (controversial!) or gather as much footage of our British species?

Our RSS feed continues to be available. Please click on the image to access the feed.

This feed is very useful if you wish to receive the latest news from Derbyshire Dragonflies.

For the true enthusiast, the New Naturalist series has published Dragonflies by Philip S Corbet and Stephen Brooks. Amazon has it available here. Buy it now, it will sell very fast and we think it will become a collectors edition.

We welcome your contributions. Send your latest images to Derbyshire Dragonflies via email and we will be happy to display them. The address is enquire at derbyshire-dragonflies DOT org DOT uk. Sorry for the criptic email address but we are a little tired of being offered goods over the internet by spammers.
